Working Principle Diagram
Their operating principle involves: a compressor pressurizing refrigerant into a high-temperature, high-pressure gas; this gas then enters a water-cooled condenser where it releases heat to cooling water (typically supplied by a cooling tower) and condenses into liquid; the liquid refrigerant passes through an expansion valve, undergoing throttling to become a low-pressure, low-temperature mist mixture; finally, in the evaporator, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the chilled water and evaporates, thereby cooling the chilled water (e.g., from 12°C down to 7°C). The cooled chilled water is pumped to industrial equipment to absorb heat, then returns to the evaporator for re-cooling, forming a closed-loop system. This water-cooled approach leverages water's high specific heat capacity, offering superior energy efficiency, greater cooling capacity, and better performance in high-temperature environments compared to air-cooled systems. Thus, it serves as the preferred solution for medium to large-scale industrial cooling demands.
